Transparency
The Design Foundation of the Region of Valencia was established in February 2021 as a private, non-profit and public interest entity for the promotion of design.
Design is the lever of change to activate innovation processes in public and private activities, therefore, as this foundation is a driving force for the whole of the Valencian and national territory, it aims to encourage institutions, industry and companies from different sectors to incorporate design in their strategies.
.
PRINCIPLES AND OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the Design Foundation of the Region of Valencia is to disseminate the economic, cultural and social relevance of design, as well as to promote design policies and activities that promote the role of design for innovation and internationalization, acting as the axis on which they pivot and articulate both national and international initiatives.
· FOUNDATIONAL PRINCIPLES (OCTOBER 2021)
As a legacy of World Design Capital Valencia 2022, the Design Foundation seeks to improve our society, promoting the culture of design in institutions, industry and training.

REPORT OF ACTIVITIES
Below we detail the annual reports of activities and actions carried out by the Design Foundation:
.
FUNDING OF THE FOUNDATION
Each financial year requires the submission of specific economic-administrative documentation, following this structure:
· Submission of an estimated Budget and an Activity Report to the Foundation Registry in December of the previous year.
· Publication of granted subsidies to comply with dissemination and publicity obligations.
· Audit report of the Annual Accounts for the financial year, prepared in the second quarter of the following year, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Annual Accounts Report.
Regarding the Foundation’s income and expenditure structure, revenues come from three different sources:
· Contributions linked to sponsorship or Donations, benefiting from the special tax incentive regime for sponsorship (Law 49/2002).
· Project-based contracts.
· Subsidies from both public institutions and private entities.
The subsidies obtained by the Foundation can be either nominative or publicly competitive (the latter being the most common). These subsidies require, on the one hand, co-financing of part of the project for which the subsidy is requested—meaning the Foundation must cover part of the expenses since the aid does not fully cover the cost—and, on the other hand, the need to seek bank financing to execute the project through advance subsidy lines, formalized as credit policies.
Once the correct allocation of costs and invoices, along with their corresponding payment receipts, has been justified and reviewed according to the procedure established by the granting entity, the subsidy is received after the project has been carried out.
Expenses are distributed across several specific areas:
· Expenses related to the Foundation’s projects.
· General operating expenses of the entity.
· Expenses for contracted personnel.
· Financial expenses.
